Sandy Point Camping Rules and Regulations
Welcome to Adams Lake Indian Bands’ piece of paradise on Shuswap Lake! We would like everyone to enjoy their stay and have a great holiday, so have set up some rules to help us all out. Thank you in advance for abiding by them.
To promote a safe, welcoming, positive and inclusive environment where differences are valued. All customers, guests and staff are expected to be considerate, to respect other people and their rights, and to show proper care and regard for our property and the property of others. We will not tolerate, ignore, or condone discrimination, abuse, harsh language or harassment. We are committed to promoting respectful conduct, tolerance and diversity at all times.

  1. No physical or verbal abuse will be tolerated at any time.
  2. Grounds Respect No fire works at any time anywhere. Absolutely no dumping of any hazardous materials including grey/black water, waste, oils, etc. No cutting down of trees, branches or removal of bark. Please respect nature. Please put your cigarette butts in an ashtray, not on the grounds or the beaches. Please take your garbage to the bins frequently and don’t leave food out, so that we don’t attract bears, cougars, birds, raccoons or any other creatures. Cardboard only in the cardboard bin – flattened please.
  3. Quiet time is 11 p.m. to 7 am. Absolutely no music after 11 pm.
  4. Limit of 2 dogs per site. No exceptions. Pet fee $5 per pet per reservation. b) Service and Friendly pets are welcome. No aggressive animals. c) ALIB reserves the right to refuse your pet on site. d) Pets must be on a leash at all times – except for at dog beach. e) Pets must not be tied down on a leash, chain, caged or tethered outside when the camper is not on site. f) Pet waste must be picked up immediately. g) Excessive barking will not be tolerated. h) You are always responsible for the behavior of your pet. Sandy Point Dog Beach is located at the east end of Sandy Point beach through the gate. a) Take your pets for a swim off leash at the dog beach area only. b) Please clean up after your pets at all times. c) Pets are not permitted in/on the playground, store, public beaches or cookhouse. d) Failure to comply may result in eviction, or banishment of pet and or camper.
  5. Maximum 2 adults and 4 kids per site. For additional adults = $10/night. Overnight guests $10 each, and or any extra accommodations must be approved by management first (extra tent $25). All visitors/guests must register and pay the appropriate fees. Absolutely no subletting, leasing, or renting from or to anyone at anytime for any reason. Everyone entering, including campers, visitors, contractors etc. must check in at gatehouse. Guest vehicles must park outside of the gate.
    Visitors must vacate the campground by 10:00pm or they will be charged for an overnight fee.
Daily rate: $5 per adult, $2 per child or a family rate of $15.
You are responsible for the behavior of everyone on your site. It is up to you to make sure your guests know the rules of the campground.
  1. Boats and other watercraft. There is a $20/day fee for boat/watercraft beach stake on the beach and trailer parking lot. The trailer must be stored in the boat storage lot. No motorized watercraft in swim areas or parked on the beach without a beach stake. Please use “No Wake” policy inside and around buoys, by any lake properties and near swim areas. You are responsible for all of your belongings. Please phone the gatehouse to reserve your boat stake as the are limited. 250-253-5309
  2. Sandy Point’s public beaches and pet beach. Absolutely NO pets on the public beach. Pet beach is located on the east side of the property for your pet to have an unleashed swim or play on the beach. No glassware on any of the beaches. No campfires on any beach. Propane campfires only on the beach. Please swim in designated swimming areas at your own risk. No lifeguards on duty. No swimming after 11pm. Beaches are closed 11pm. No fireworks or guns of any kind, here or anywhere
  3. Driving / Parking Parking is limited, please car pool when possible. Extra Vehicle Charge $10/day Please drive Slowly, these are busy campgrounds with lots of kids. Vehicles must fit in your site, or must be parked outside of the gate. No parking vehicles or trailers along roads or beach. No driving inside the gates after 10pm. You must park outside and walk in after 11pm.
  4. Washrooms We are on a septic system, so flush toilet paper only.
    Moist wipes, feminine product etc. must be disposed of in garbage cans. Please help us keep our washrooms clean and notify us if there are any issues. No outdoor showers or bathing in the lake please. Soap and Chlorine are toxic to fish.
  5. Trailer Maintenance Grey and Black taps are to be closed at all times until time of draining. Absolutely no dumping of grey or black water anywhere other than the septic.
  6. Bicycles Must not be ridden at high speeds in the campground. No off road vehicles. Bicycles are not to be ridden in the playground areas, and/or in washrooms. No biking after dark and/or after 10 pm.
  7. Railway Crossing Information Always look both ways and never race the train or the gate arms. Never park on the tracks. Do not play near or walk on the tracks.
  8. Your site Your site is rented to you, and your family. There is No subletting or leasing, or renting allowed. Please be mindful of noise and music levels at all times, out of respect for other campers. Music must be off by 11pm.
  9. Generator Area Sites 198-232 Generator use is permitted in Sites 198-232 only between the hours of 9a.m. – 11a.m. and from 6p.m. – 8p.m. This policy was created to help reduce air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, fuel consumption and noise levels.
Release:
  1. Equipment, picnic tables, benches, playground equipment, stairs, pathways, facilities, etc., are solely for the convenience of the campers and guests to do so at their own risk All ALIB and affiliated facilities are to be used at your own risk.
  2. Adams Lake Indian Band, Pierre’s Point Campground, Sandy Point Campground, Staff, Contractors and/or Management bares no responsibility, including economic loss, and are released from any/all liability and/or loss and/or damage from accidents, theft and/or injury from acts of nature and/or otherwise.

Failure to comply with the rules may result in fines and/or eviction.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
You can cancel up until 14 days of your arrival date. Your deposit will be refunded to you, MINUS a $70 administration fee. If you are changing any details of your stay (dates, sites etc), please make your own changes online.
There are no deposit refunds if you cancel/change original booking 14 days or any date closer to your arrival. Please be aware, there are NO REFUNDS for: cancelling a long weekend, no show, late arrival, early departure, inclement weather, personal reasons or evictions. You are responsible for your own bookings.
